Matthew A. Swanson
Mr. Swanson joined Wayzata in 2010 and is responsible for structuring and negotiating the funds’ investments in distressed and special situations, including restructurings in and out of court, financings and distressed M&A transactions. Mr. Swanson also works extensively with Wayzata’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Wayzata, Mr. Swanson was affiliated with the law firms of Latham & Watkins LLP and Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC. Mr. Swanson received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, his J.D. from the University of Southern California (with honors) and his B.A. from the University of Michigan (with distinction).
